Michael Carney

Michael started with The Landmark Companies in 2002. He’s responsible for sourcing new acquisitions and the management of current Landmark assets. He proudly serves on the Board of Directors for the Downtown Cleveland Improvement Corporation and the Historic Warehouse District Development Corporation. Mike is considered an urban pioneer and is one of Downtown Cleveland’s loudest cheerleaders.

Mike’s an active donor to the Playhouse Square Foundation where enjoys taking in a variety of live shows. He holds a BS in Criminal Justice from Loyola University of Chicago.

John M Carney

John joined The Landmark Companies in 2016 after seven years of living with his family in Australia. He returned to Cleveland to grow the business through new development and acquisitions for The Landmark Companies.

John is a real estate investor and developer with experience in Australia, Indonesia, and multiple markets in the United States. He founded American Property Source while living in Melbourne, Australia and helped Australians successfully invest in cashflow positive real estate in Phoenix, Arizona and Atlanta, Georgia.

He is the author of ‘10,000 Miles to the American dream’, ‘Real Estate is A Team Sport’ and the host of the podcast, ‘The Real Estate Locker Rooms Show.’

John enjoys skiing, endurance events, traveling and spending time with his wife and two kids.

John currently holds an Ohio real estate sales license and a BA in Political Science from Miami University.

Kelly Baldwin

Kelly joined The Landmark Companies in 2015 and oversees Sales and Marketing operations. She holds an M.B.A. from Case Western Reserve University, sits on the board of Project RACE, and is a member of Urban Land Institute. Kelly’s passion for community service has earned her several awards including the HOPE worldwide Outstanding Service Award and the American Red Cross Pilot Project Award.

As an active mom, Kelly spends way too much time hauling sweaty teenage boys to and from football, basketball or lacrosse. Also, as the wife of a Browns alum from the days when we were good, she refuses to EVER give up hope!

Karen Walker

Karen began her career with The Landmark Companies in 2000. She is responsible for the accounting and finances for all of the properties that The Landmark Companies manages.

Karen’s free time is spent taking care of her family. She is very active at her children’s school, enjoys reading the “old fashioned” books and enjoys working for a family oriented company.

Karen received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Bluffton University in 1996.

Jill Walker

Jill Walker has worked with John Carney and Bob Rains, the principals of The Landmark Companies, since 1984 and works at the corporate office in Westlake, Ohio.

Jill’s responsibilities include schedule coordination, travel arrangements, bookkeeping, plus the editing and drafting of leases and contracts for review by the principles. She is the go-to person for all administrative questions related to the business of running The Landmark Companies office and enjoys the variety of work that her duties encompass.

When Jill is not at work, she loves photography, scrapbooking and spending time with her family, especially her amazing grandchildren.
